The Aggression: FLOOD (Tinman) Edgy Guitar Driven EBM:
From Outburn Magazize

These New York machine rockers made a convincing case for American made EBM with their 1997 debut Whitelineoverride. The collision of fuzzed--out guitars and high energy techno put them in the same league as Urania and Sister Machine Gun. Fortunately, the departure of guitarist Mark Mohtashemi hasn't diminished the band's fury on their third full length album. Tom Whitfleet and Mike Venezia attack the guitars on tracks like "The Lion's Den" and "The Chemical Sun", but the band also gets cerebral on "Sleazy John", an almost baroque synth instrumental. F.J. DeSanto's seductive voice and lyrical wizardry shine on "These Million Nights", a slick dance track that deserves as much attention from club DJ's as the disc's first single "The Motive". With a clever combination of heavy guitar and updated electronic melodies, these guys show that Americans can crunch out that Euro techno sound as good if not better than the Europeans.

The first Hypefactor EP, THE DISTRACTED LOVER, is out NOW on Tinman. The following is from Tinman's press release for the record: "The new EP from the frontman of The Aggression (with a little help from his friends), Hypefactor sheds the rock edge and treads dangerously into the territory of the neo-pop romantic; softer, gentler, kinder? And somehow crueler. 'The Distracted Lover' is a bittersweet song cycle, a paean to love, requited and unrequited, and a beautifully crafted masterpiece with nods to classic pop and early electro." Look for appearances on this EP from Ash, Robin, The Kidd and the legendary Peter Riley from Saintface. Listen to some of the tracks now on www.hypefactor.com.

This fall, F.J. will be report back into the studio for another tour of duty with Jared Louche, this time for a new project called SHATTERPIECES. Emerging details can be found at www.hydrogenbar.com.
